|
Jul 02, 2009 - 11:39 AM - by YMC
|
<div>Reading through these threads reminded me of an incident that occurred a few months ago.
The fire department was holding a fundraiser for their different charities.
For reasons known only to them, thousands of dollars came up missing from a locker in the LPFD locker room.
What ever became of this? Did they ever catch the person responsible?
I thought I read in the NH that the FD union or someone was going to reimburse the lost money.
That is no solution. Nice that the money was replaced, but we still have a thief in the LPFD.
Is the thief still... [Read More]

| Detroit: Dumars plucks two from free agency |
|
Jul 02, 2009 - 11:39 AM - by YMC
|
<div>It didn't take Dumars too long to find some players in the free agent pool.
Ben Gordon, a veteran shooting guard from the Bulls and a UConn alum, averages over 20 points a game. Ben was the #3 overall pick in 2004. He is a legit three point threat, shooting over 41% each of the last three years from the three point line. That is just about 1% below Iverson's regular field goal avg.
This means Stuckey may be the starting Point Guard this year.
The second free agent signing is Charlie Villaneuva from Milwaukee. Villaneuva, a Queens native and also a UConn alum, is a legit 6'11" Forward. He is not a vacuum,... [Read More]

| Lincoln Park: Fireworks and "lovely" neighbors! |
|
Jul 01, 2009 - 8:34 PM - by YMC
|
|
<div>This "lovely" family recently moved in across the street from my home. Tonight they thought that it would be a fine idea to shoot fireworks over my house and into my backyard! I told them to stop shooting them over my house and that if they "burn it, they bought it!" meaning my house! My daughter and son were afraid that they would catch my house on fire, so much so that my daughter called the police! Guess what.....they never showed up, even though they told my daughter that they were sending someone right out! I know that this may not be a big deal to some, but my kids were truly afraid that something... [Read More]
